This is the first time I saw a fringe play and really enjoyed it. The subject was topical, the wrting was very witty and imaginative, and the cast was very good
SK
Johanna Nutter gives an amazing performance. It touches you to the core.
loved the show. great scifi reference. you should try catching this one before it ends.
This show was amazing! I laughed so hard! The different scenes in the show flow really well from one to another. The storyline is wonderful and the acting is superb!! The actors were extremely talented and the scriptwriters did a wonderful job at paying attention to detail. Go see this show!!
A funny show, if you're a sci-fi nerd (like me!) it's even better...ha ha ha
Great actors, too. Looks like they're having fun!!!
Funny!! See it!! The actors are great and look like they're having fun with their roles.
I really enjoyed this show!! There were lots of funny moments, it held my interest and there was even a moment of audience involvement. The acting was great! The characters are purposefully over-the-top and every single actor truly committed to their characters' mannerisms and craziness and you can really tell they are a talented group of people. So....if you are looking for a fun show and a good time it's worth stopping by the Portuguese Assoc. and getting a seat to go see this.
That was a LOT of fun. This show has a lot of neat little ideas-- I don't want to spoil it by saying too much, so I'll just say that it's very creative!
Also, how many shows have you watched that includes a scene of people doing telemarketing in the 1800s? *LOL*
Go check it out, and if you're a sci-fi fan, keep an ear out for a lot of silly references. Good fun!
Thought the show was a lot of fun and the actors were all very good, especially the ones playing "Ronnie" and "Harold" (channeling Bruce Campbell a bit!).
If a group of 8th grade budding drama enthusiasts had come together to write a full one-act, cast their friends, build the set, and mounted the production in the Portuguese Association of Canada, I would have been proud of this show's efforts. It has some charm and a simple but cute premise. However this was the work of adults who identify as theatre artists, so prospective pride wanes. Many performances are actually quite strong, but the actors had only so much room to excel with the text they were given. The play is extremely unpolished: characters are two-dimensional, and even so, quite inconsistent. Jokes were juvenile and without context, and not the good kind of juvenile-and-without-context. A fellow audience member was overheard remarking to his friend about two-thirds into the show: "I wish I were dead right now". It is quite an amateur production.
Alan Shain's show Under the Radar was a delightful mix of intelligent, thought provoking playfulness, and bare, gut-wrenching seduction... thank you Alan...
Really cute, fun and original plot. I thought the acting was super, and the directing, too! I was impressed by the fact that these amateurs could perform so professionally. Definitely worth the eleven dollars!! :)
nice show to have fun with and enjoy all the subtle humor. you should definately add this to your must see list.
i thought it was great!!! go & see it, u wont be disappointed
That was really funny. I liked their idea for getting back at the telemarketers and the actors were really, really good!
Not at all awesome. I don't quite understand how 10 actors hadn't noticed that the play needed something, it went nowhere. Really disjointed. Very disappointed.
