Full Film Description:

Ladies and Gentlemen! Boys and Girls! Step this way… behind the curtain you will see a cavalcade of freaks. Here etched into the celluloid (OK, video) you will see a host of physical “deformities” and marginalized members of society. There is an elephant man who tells of his ostracization and general woes. You will see a “half woman” sing sultry, twirling and shrieking. Ms. Dame Demure the dulcet dwarf bounces on a bed of broken glass and chops lasciviously on a light bulb lunch…

Peek behind the curtain and you will discover these malformed that voluntarily put themselves on display. Why would anyone subject themselves to the glares that these “cripples” are meant to shun? Who are the able-bodied organizers of this band of misfits, this carnival of the damned? And what of the filmmaker with his own physical “peculiarity?” Why would he seek to document this sad mistake of Mother Nature?

Welcome inside the exclusive club of those who welcome the label “freak” and reclaim it with power and with pride. This makeshift family of outsiders takes to the road to entertain and inspire audiences by night and confess to the camera in the wee hours. Watch as the giant is embraced by the clan only to drift away again. Marvel as the dwarf resigns herself to a carnival fate. Feast your ears on the sobs of the self-effacing Lobster Man. Decide for yourselves if this is exploitation, entertainment, or art.
